Welcome to the GEI web site

The Groupe d'étude sur l'intersubjectivité (GEI) is a professional association based in Montréal, whose members practice psychotherapy using an intersubjective self psychological perspective. It offers an opportunity for affiliation to therapists who would like to learn this approach. Our objectives include offering our members activities for their continuing education and for the sharing of clinical experiences and reflections.

A key moment in our yearly calendar of activities is our Annual Conference given by an invited speaker who is a prominent author in contemporary relational psychoanalysis, and especially in the fields of Intersubjective systems theory and Self psychology.

At the 14th GEI Annual Conference to be held September the 23th, 2017, we will have the great pleasure to hear Donna Orange, Ph.D., Psy.D., psychologist, psychoanalyst and philosopher, co-author of the Intersubjective systems theory. Dr Orange will present Being My Other's Keeper: Resources for the Clinician. Click on the previous link for more information or to register for the conference. Hoping to see you all at this occasion.
