The
Groupe d'étude sur l'intersubjectivité (GEI)
is a professional association based in Montréal, whose members practice psychotherapy using a
Self Psychology and Intersubjective Systems Theory perspective.
It offers an opportunity for affiliation to therapists who would like to learn this approach. Our objectives include offering our members activities for their continuing education and for the sharing of clinical experiences and reflections.
A key moment in our yearly calendar of activities is our
Annual Conference
given by a guest speaker who is a prominent author in contemporary psychoanalysis, and especially in the fields of Self Psychology and Intersubjective Systems Theory. This conference is usually given in English (with simultaneous interpretation in French), but all other GEI activities are in French without simultaneous interpretation.
At the
21st GEI Annual Conference
to be held
simultaleously on-site and on Zoom
on September the 28th, 2024, we will have the great pleasure to hear
Darren Haber,
Psy.D., MFT, psychoanalyst in West Los Angeles, CA, and member of the
Institute of Contemporary Psychoanalysis
(ICP). Darren will speak about addiction, on which he has developed an intersubjective systems perspective.
Registration and complete information will be available in the Spring of 2024.
Hoping to see you all at this occasion!
